Earth Day!

What do you do at the beginning of finals week when you have no motivation to study for your last BYU finals ever, your roommate has a box full of new, lovely chalk and the weather is just too good to pass up?

Why chalk a beautiful picture (MJ inspired) with your best friend of course!!

And since it's Earth day today I thought I'd give you a taste of what we drew. You're welcome.

In honor of all you BYU grads today ;)

Heal the world, make it a better place.~MJ

one week till christmas . . .

. . . and have I begun my Christmas shopping?! No.

All I want for Christmas is to be with the fam, holding baby Noah, cuddling with Charlie, eating TONS of delicious holiday food items, and watching all my favorite movies with my sisters!

Classics like this will definitely be on the list:

Charlie Brown touches my heart. Every year my fam and I have a "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree," as we call it. It's a real tree with sparse branches, sweet smelling needles, decorated with love, and it's absolutely wonderful!

Also this is a MUST. I've been dying to watch it again! Enjoy the opening scene.

and who can deny this little treasure?!

Ok I didn't mean for this post to be all videos. Sorry. HA!

I was about to put up another video of "the best things happen while your dancing," but realized I should hold off or I'd end up putting the whole movie on here.

Christmas time is here!!

it began with a surprise gift from best friends, which is totally awesome and will make you jealous.
it's a blog post in itself, so that will just have to come later ;)

the surprise was followed by a kick-start breakfast consisting of wheat and honey pancakes, delicious fruit, walnuts, and whipped cream made by best friends.

the day isn't even over so there will be more adventures to come, that's for sure!
*possibly a drive in this amazing stormy weather
*picture taking is a must
*maybe some shaved ice consumption followed by other deliciousness . . .
i.e. cake made by kaylie

love for some lovers

Lately I have just been in a valentine-y mood {even though I have no valentine. haha!}. Maybe it's because all the blogs I stalk have been posting valentine-themed things or it could be because so many people I know seen to be in relationships, etc. Well I think that Valentine's day isn't just for lovers, but for all kinds of lovers!! So why not celebrate! {wait a second, that sounds awfully close to something Shawnne said last year, hmmmm}.

So this valentines day {and all the ones to come} I will spend with the ones I love.
These are my lovers {I must be in a copying mood because I sort of stole this picture idea from Claire. heh}:

I hope you all know that there is a lot of hard core love coming at you all right now.

Also, I love this idea! So cute, so personal, so delicious!

and one more thing. It's been one year!!! Check out this post. I couldn't have said it better, sis.

au revoir 2008, salut 2009!

Well it is gone, and it went by fast. 2008. What a great year. Here are just a few memories of 2008 {good and bad, but mostly good}:

*I made some sweet new friends
*I lost some others
*I stood up for myself even when it was hard
*My family and I said goodbye to our first little missionary!
*I tried to figure out my life
*I pulled my first all-nighter {or first couple}
*We had some awesome adventures
*I finished my freshman year off with a bang and tears
*I hung out with my fam all summer
*I was really lazy all summer, but I don't regret it
*I had a fantastic time in coeur d'alene with the best people in the world
*I drove to Provo by myself for the first time
*I started my sophomore year. crazy.
*I avoided the assassins around every corner, but eventually shady Ian got me {in exchange for cookies ;) }
*We eventually adjusted and found a place in our ward
*I made some more new friends
*I tried to figure out my life some more and was a bit more successful
*I anxiously awaited Thanksgiving and Christmas
*I took finals and peaced out {but not before I partied with kaylie ;) }
*I had another smashingly fantastic Christmas with the fam!

Thank you 2008 for being so great {that rhymed}!
I can't wait to see what 2009 will bring.

{now in search of new adventures for 2009!}

a blank box, gratitude, J'ai peur!

It's been a week since I last updated?! Crazy!

I am staring at a blank box. I have so many things I want to blog about, but I feel like I would just be repeating myself.

This past thanksgiving weekend was very good. I did absolutely nothing and I am proud of it! I am glad I got to see my family. I've missed them a lot. I got to cuddle with charlie. I got to eat some good food, something I haven't had for a long time. Although I didn't stuff myself, which is good. But maybe I did when it came to the desserts. Oops! I got to hang out with my extended family. My grandma taught my little sister and me how to make homemade rolls and cinnamon rolls too! I got to do a little sewing with mom, even though we didn't finish the dress. I got back to Provo safely despite the weather. We only have like 2 weeks until reading days and finals. Then it's Christmas! I have a lot to be thankful for!

Now I am trying to motivate myself to write an essay and do other homework. ugh.

Oh and I was chosen "randomly" to have a little interview with Mme. Thompson in french of course. EEK! She intimidates me. Thanks Monsieur Dennis. You know how I get when "je parle en francais," especially with Mme. Thompson! J'ai peur! You're a real pal. Just another thing to do before finals.

I need to go grocery shopping.

Je suis très occupée!
