"It smells like vagina crap!!"

Oh how I love my roommates!

After a long day of classes and studying, we all come home one by one. At these times, you never know what may ensue when we are all together.

So today, Katie decides to eat some of her Texas Sheet Cake (sent from her mother in a huge shoe box, which is hilarious in itself). She takes it out of the fridge to savor it's deliciousness, but is distracted by a strange smell. Some sort of commotion occurs while I was preoccupied by various things on my computer (i.e. facebook, blogger, stupid essay about nonsense), but coming from the kitchen I hear something like this:

"Gross. Something is on the bottom of my box!" Katie then wipes some of it up with a rag and says "It smells like Italian Vagina!"

After repeated attempts to get all of us to smell it and after different versions of "It smells like vagina crap!" are stated, Kaylie goes to the fridge to find the culprit . . .

It's salsa . . . in the back of the fridge . . . Katie's salsa.

Like I said before, Oh how I love my roommates!
(Sorry if I didn't do this story justice.)

self-control or self-indulge?

The ultimate debate within myself.

I will always have an undying love and devotion for any form of cake, chocolate, and/or candy. Some of my favorites include:

*Dark Chocolate. Enough said.
*Any flavor of Lindt brand (from Switzerland! So amazing!)
*My Grandmother, Mother, and Aunt's annual candy making i.e. homemade turtles, pecan logs, and handmade dipped chocolates (you know like the ones you get in a box of chocolate from your valentine on Feb. 14th or even from Forest Gump, but they are 10 times better, richer, and more delicious because they are made with love.)
*Salt Water Taffy, yes please.
*Panoche, an all-time fav. (but I think you spell it penuche)
*Practically any form of Reese's peanut butter cups.
*Flourless chocolate cake with raspberries = AMAZING! (thanks for making it for my b-day grandma!)

The list goes on. Well usually I am pretty good at controlling my urges to eat these forms of deliciousness. It's not so easy when I am at home and there are so many options open to me just lying around, but for the most part I have self-control. Today? Not the case. I had the hugest craving for chocolate this morning that lasted until my last class ended. Knowing that I had absolutely no form of sweets in my possession, I absolutely HAD to get me some and ASAP! :)

So après mon cour de français, I took a little detour to the Bookstore. Thank heavens! After seeing that huge bag of salt water taffy in Walmart for just $4 a few weeks ago, I have had the hugest desire for some. Also, I always need some Lindt! Thank you Lindt for making chocolate with hazelnut . . . too bad it's not dark chocolate though.

It's nice to reward yourself once in a while and give into your urges!

Hello my name is . . .

. . . awkward. It has just become a fact of my life: I am a naturally awkward person. There is no denying it. This unfortunate characteristic stems from my extreme timidity since infancy. It is often annoying and sometimes untimely when important matters are at hand--such as interviews, meeting new people in the ward, going on dates, etc. But there is no changing my natural tendencies. Because of this, it takes time to truly get to know me. So I am sorry for any miscommunication to have caused you. I am sorry that you have to deal with me in this manner. I am honestly trying my hardest to become better at communicating to others, but alas . . . it is laborious work.

here is how you type an awkward smiley face :[]

Vive la France!

Q'est-ce que vous aimez faire? Apprenez français? Mais oui!

Augh! Well today my french class was extremely hard! There are probably three different categories of how I could feel in my french class:

1. C'est parfait! The day was FANTASTIC!!! Woo woo! I understood my teacher and respond back to him in a quick manner, with correct grammar mind you. I was never nervous or embarrassed when he called on me unexpectedly to answer a question. I knew all the vocab and verb conjugations. And I actually, of my own accord, participated! (note that this happens very seldom). Class just seemed to whiz by and I most likely did not want class to end because I was doing so amazing and I wanted to keep on being amazing!

2. Comme ci comme ça. It was just a blah kind of day. I knew probably only half of the material. I understood half of Monsieur Dennis' questions and therefore answered only half of them . . . the others? Je ne sais pas.

3. J'en ai marre! The worst day EVER! The material we are covering is so abstract and the explanation . . . all in french of course, so I don't understand it! Je ne comprends pas! AAAaaa!!! I keep checking the clock . . . only 20 minutes have gone by?! Longest class ever! I avoid eye contact with Monsieur Dennis at all costs, which probably hints to him that I have no idea what I am doing. Therefore he calls on me anyway despite seeing me squirm in my seat, most likely to give me more practice, but come on man! To make matters worse, it seems like everyone else in the class is so on top of it, they know what's going on and I am the only one who is clueless. I feel like a loser.

So today was most likely the latter. After class I had serious doubts about my major, which isn't even my official major yet! but then . . .

I went to see "Les Chorus" at the international cinema. I've seen it before, loved it to death, and wanted to see it again. Well I teared up again at the end when Pépinot finally goes home with 'son père à le samedi!' Ahh! C'est génial! After hearing natives speak french, I get really jealous and mad at myself for being such a slacker. So I get a surge of conviction, a determination to study more and do better! That doesn't mean it's going to be easy. Learning another language is hard. It doesn't come as easily as I would hope. But . . . I will persevere!

C'est la vie!

sup.

sup disaster.

j'a tombé,
donc je suis ètè fâchée.

je veux tous la amabilité,
mais mince!
je travaille pour rein.

ce n'est jamais vrai,
jamais la vérité à ma vie.

sup.

blah

you know those times when everything just doesn't seem to be going your way, nothing ever works out for you, you don't have enough time in the day to accomplish all you need to do, no one seems to understand and furthermore don't seem to care, there is a constant surge of badness coming at you from all angles and there is nothing you can do to fix any of it no matter how hard you want it or try? until . . . one small thing happens. A kind word from a friend, a fond memory of good times, and then all those things seem a little bit easier to bear. Of course all your worries are still haunting you, but somehow it gives you a little bit of courage to get through.
